{"id":310,"date":"2018-04-04T16:26:34","date_gmt":"2018-04-04T14:26:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saitec-offshore.com\/?p=310"},"modified":"2020-02-17T11:34:15","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T10:34:15","slug":"saitec-sends-sath-floating-platform-to-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saitec-offshore.com\/en\/saitec-sends-sath-floating-platform-to-france\/","title":{"rendered":"Saitec Sends SATH Floating Platform to France"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Saitec Sends SATH Floating Platform to France<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Spanish floating wind platform developer Saitec Offshore \nTechnologies has been awarded three weeks at IFREMER\u2019s wave basin \nfacilities in France to further validate and develop its SATH technology\n due to funding from the European network Marinet2.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.offshorewind.biz\/tag\/sath\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The&nbsp;SATH (Swinging Around Twin Hull) platform<\/a>\n aims to reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE),&nbsp;targeting both \nCapital and Operational Expenditures, which makes it cost-competitive to\n monopile foundations, according to Saitec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The solution is&nbsp;made of concrete, comprising two twin hulls bonded to\n a single point, with a bearing that allows the platform to swing around\n this point.&nbsp;The Single Point Mooring approach, commonly employed in the\n oil &amp;
