Recientemente tuvimos el honor de recibir en nuestra sede a colegas de la Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda Civil de la Universidad Arist\u00f3teles de Tesal\u00f3nica (AUTh)<\/a>. Esta visita forma parte de una colaboraci\u00f3n continua para impulsar el desarrollo de la e\u00f3lica marina flotante sostenible<\/strong>, establecida mediante un acuerdo formal firmado el a\u00f1o pasado, con el objetivo de avanzar en la descarbonizaci\u00f3n, la circularidad y la protecci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad<\/strong> en el sector e\u00f3lico flotante<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigaci\u00f3n conjunta sobre el an\u00e1lisis de huella de carbono en la e\u00f3lica flotante<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nuestra colaboraci\u00f3n se centra en el an\u00e1lisis de la huella de carbono<\/strong> como base para el desarrollo de tecnolog\u00edas de bajo impacto<\/strong> en la e\u00f3lica marina flotante. Esta iniciativa est\u00e1 estrechamente alineada con nuestros objetivos generales de sostenibilidad y con nuestra misi\u00f3n de minimizar el impacto ambiental de los sistemas e\u00f3licos flotantes a lo largo de todo su ciclo de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huella de carbono de la tecnolog\u00eda SATH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Un resultado destacado de esta colaboraci\u00f3n es el an\u00e1lisis de la huella de carbono de la tecnolog\u00eda de plataforma flotante SATH<\/a><\/strong>, realizado por Michail Theodoridis como parte de su tesis de diploma. Su investigaci\u00f3n aporta conocimientos clave sobre las emisiones durante el ciclo de vida<\/strong> y ayuda a identificar estrategias concretas para reducir la huella de carbono en futuras implementaciones de parques e\u00f3licos flotantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En colaboraci\u00f3n con la profesora Eva Loukogeorgaki<\/strong> y sus estudiantes Angelos Klironomos<\/strong> y Michail Theodoridis<\/strong>, estamos llevando a cabo una evaluaci\u00f3n integral del ciclo de vida (LCA)<\/strong> de las plataformas e\u00f3licas flotantes. Esto incluye una revisi\u00f3n detallada de los componentes, los materiales y su potencial para la reutilizaci\u00f3n y el reciclaje \u2014 datos esenciales para mejorar el desempe\u00f1o ambiental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partiendo de estos hallazgos, Angelos Klironomos liderar\u00e1 un nuevo estudio que explorar\u00e1 c\u00f3mo el dise\u00f1o de la plataforma y la selecci\u00f3n de materiales influyen en las emisiones de carbono<\/strong>. Se espera que este trabajo genere soluciones basadas en el dise\u00f1o<\/strong> que mejoren tanto la eficiencia estructural<\/strong> como la sostenibilidad ambiental<\/strong>, contribuyendo al desarrollo de plataformas e\u00f3licas marinas de pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fomentando la circularidad en la cadena de valor de la e\u00f3lica flotante<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nuestros esfuerzos conjuntos tambi\u00e9n se extienden a explorar estrategias de econom\u00eda circular<\/strong> en la e\u00f3lica marina flotante. Estas incluyen la integraci\u00f3n de energ\u00edas renovables en la fabricaci\u00f3n de las plataformas SATH<\/strong> y soluciones de reciclaje para los componentes al final de su vida \u00fatil<\/strong>. Estas iniciativas tienen como objetivo construir una cadena de valor m\u00e1s sostenible y resiliente<\/strong> en todo el sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De forma paralela, estamos sentando las bases para nuevas l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n con AUTh centradas en soluciones basadas en la naturaleza<\/strong> y la protecci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad<\/strong> en parques e\u00f3licos marinos flotantes. La preservaci\u00f3n de los ecosistemas marinos, junto con la expansi\u00f3n de la capacidad de energ\u00eda renovable, es una prioridad compartida. Creemos que la innovaci\u00f3n en ingenier\u00eda debe ir de la mano con la responsabilidad ambiental<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
