Inc. (KEPCO)<\/a> \u2013 una empresa que ya participa en el proyecto \u2013 y Kumagai Gumi <strong>ampliar\u00e1<\/strong> <strong>la operaci\u00f3n del prototipo DemoSATH<\/strong> en el \u00e1rea de ensayos en mar abierto de BiMEP (Armintza, Bizkaia, Espa\u00f1a), <strong>extendiendo su vida \u00fatil hasta 2027<\/strong>. Durante este per\u00edodo, el trabajo se centrar\u00e1 en <strong>actividades de investigaci\u00f3n, optimizaci\u00f3n y transferencia de conocimiento<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/saitec-offshore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/LK-SOT-horizontal-4-1.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24554\" style=\"width:536px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Kumagai Gumi se une a este proyecto para aportar su experiencia especializada como contratista en el sector de la construcci\u00f3n. En concreto, la empresa se centrar\u00e1 en optimizar los m\u00e9todos de desmantelamiento futuros y en evaluar procedimientos de construcci\u00f3n para la producci\u00f3n en masa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De demostrador a plataforma de investigaci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">DemoSATH consta de una turbina e\u00f3lica de 2 MW sobre una estructura flotante de doble casco de hormig\u00f3n y est\u00e1 instalada a unos 3,2 kil\u00f3metros de la costa vasca, donde hay una profundidad de unos 85 metros. Fue construida y ensamblada en el Puerto de Bilbao antes de ser remolcada a su ubicaci\u00f3n actual en BiMEP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Esta nueva fase comienza tres a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de que DemoSATH iniciara sus operaciones y representa una evoluci\u00f3n natural del proyecto. Durante este per\u00edodo, el demostrador ha permitido <strong>validar la instalaci\u00f3n, el funcionamiento y la generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda de la tecnolog\u00eda flotante SATH en condiciones reales en alta mar<\/strong>, al tiempo que se recopilan datos sobre su comportamiento estructural, din\u00e1mico y operativo. Paralelamente, a trav\u00e9s de su proyecto <a href=\"https:\/\/saitec-offshore.com\/es\/projects\/demosath-lab-floating-offshore-wind-biodiversity\/\" target=\"_self\">DemoSATH Lab<\/a>, ha servido como laboratorio vivo para probar sistemas y soluciones experimentales dise\u00f1ados para apoyar la coexistencia con el medio marino, promover la biodiversidad y explorar posibles aplicaciones relacionadas con la acuicultura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde su puesta en marcha, la turbina e\u00f3lica flotante ha estado expuesta a las exigentes condiciones del mar Cant\u00e1brico, soportando olas de hasta 13 metros y r\u00e1fagas de viento de 144 km\/h.
