Saitec Offshore Technologies - WFO Global Summit 2026

This year, we are proud to support the WFO Global Summit 2026 once again, held on 20–21 January 2026 in Barcelona. Organized by the World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO), the conference is a unique forum to explore the future of floating wind and define the industry’s next steps, gathering more than 200 experts from over 30 countries. Our involvement will continue on 22 January 2026 with a dedicated session during the Floating Offshore Wind Crash Course.

Our participation in both activities reflects the commitment to accelerating the commercialisation of floating offshore wind. By combining hands-on experience at sea with industrial and financial understanding, we aim to help the sector move confidently from first-of-a-kind projects to large-scale deployment.

Scaling floating offshore wind

During the Global Summit at the InterContinental Barcelona, Saitec’s Chief Commercial Officer, Immanuel Capano, will join a line-up of international speakers addressing key topics such as global offshore wind policies, floating offshore wind, supply chain and finance, and offshore wind innovation.

From the perspective of a technology provider with real offshore experience, Immanuel will share Saitec’s vision on how to:

  • Move floating wind from demonstration projects to full commercial scale.
  • Build bankable, replicable projects based on proven technology.
  • Connect industrialisation, ports and marine operations with project finance and risk management.

Floating Offshore Wind Crash Course: From concept to 250+ MW projects

On 22 January 2026, WFO will host the Floating Offshore Wind Crash Course, a one-day programme designed to give participants a complete view of what it takes to deliver 250+ MW floating wind farms at commercial scale.

Saitec’s Abouzar Daneshpajouh, Head of Offshore Deployment and Asset Management, will serve as one of the instructors. As part of the course, he will lead the session on floating substructure transport and installation, sharing practical insights from his experience leading end-to-end offshore projects and the deployment of Saitec’s SATH technology, including the DemoSATH project in the Basque Gulf.

The course will combine technical and commercial perspectives, covering:

  • Serial production of floating substructures
  • Transport and installation strategies
  • Operations and maintenance for floating wind
  • Certification and insurability
  • Financing considerations and risk allocation

The crash course will take place at Hotel Ohla Eixample in Barcelona.
