XI Marine Energy Conference

Saitec Offshore Technologies Presents FLOWIND Project

Carlos Garrido, Head of Innovation at Saitec Offshore Technologies, will present the FLOWIND project, which focuses on innovative O&M solutions for floating wind—specifically targeting critical components and the development of optimized, advanced management strategies.

Innovative O&M Solutions for Floating Wind

His presentation will emphasize the vital role of operations and maintenance (O&M) in floating wind. Efficient turbine performance with minimal downtime is essential for maximizing energy production and return on investment. Given the high cost and risk associated with offshore interventions, the project aims to deliver novel solutions for critical components such as dynamic cables and mooring lines, alongside advanced tools to assess and optimize O&M strategies—key to ensuring the long-term efficiency and viability of floating wind farms.
