Through its 6th Strategic Energy Plan, the Government of Japan has set the target of reaching 10 GW of installed offshore wind capacity by 2030 and 30–45 GW by 2040 (10 times the current amount). This ambitious challenge has driven growing interest in Japan in learning from the experience of offshore wind companies in Europe.
Taking advantage of this context, the Spanish Commercial Office in Tokyo is organising a free webinar focused on offshore wind energy, to showcase the business opportunities in Spain, as well as the suppliers that form part of the value chain and their technology.
On 12 July, David Carrascosa, Operations Director of Saitec Offshore Technologies, will take part in this event, providing information on the development of the DemoSATH project, the first grid-connected wind platform in Spain.
The event will run from 9 to 10 in the morning. Between 400 and 500 professionals from the energy sector are expected to attend.
The session will feature simultaneous Japanese–English interpretation and is organised by ICEX – Invest in Spain, the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo, the Japan Wind Power Association, JETRO and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
