WindEurope is back in Spain in 2024. For 3 days, this annual event will brings together more than 12,000 participants and 500 companies between March 20th and 22nd in the BEC. This event aims to bring together all European wind energy value chains due to enhance the value of European wind energy in environmental preservation, employment generation, livelihood support and security.
Saitec Offshore at WindEurope 2024
One more year, Saitec Offshore Technologies will be attending to this event and holding a stand hosted by Basque energy cluster. You can find the team at the stand A70 in Hall 1. We will be delighted to assist you and share to you all the updates on the development of our SATH technology and relevant information about out latest projects as well as discussing all developments in the floating marine energy industry.
On the other hand, we will also be carrying out side activities during different days of the event:
On 18th March:
- This side activity framed in the WindEurope starts on March 18th and will last until March 20th, it is the Hackathon. A competition in which, in teams, the groups must develop a program that helps the creation of new wind farms or aspects of renewable energy from a specific database for this activity. 5 members of Saitec Offshore will join as a team to participate and compete for the first prize of 15 thousand euros.
On 21st March:
- Jesús López-Tafall and Immanuel Capano will be explaining the DemoSATH project and the SATH technology in the frame of the Norwegian Offshore wind activity schedule from 11:30 AM to 13:15 PM.
- Besides, this day will also take place David Carrascosa presentation titled “Floating wind value chain in Spain – the key to the Iberian market” presented to promoters and international entities in the afternoon. This activity is organized by the AEE and Basque Energy Cluster.
On 22nd March:
- Carlos Garrido will be participating with a presentation of FLOAT&M project: “O&M in floating offshore wind” and what have we learned through all this years of reseach and investigation at 10:30AM.
- Finally, Abouzar Daneshpajouh will be part of the session titled “Floating: 15 years of demos, What have we learned?” by making a presentation explaining the challenges of the towing, mooring and subsea cable hook-up in the DemoSATH project and exposing important lessons that we have learned over time fom 2PM to 3PM.
- Saitec Offshore Technologies will also be part of the official poster session with three proposals on different topics: Environment Plan focus on promote the biodiversity, fishing resources, and other uses. Another one is: Single-point-mooring system floating offshore wind turbine orientation analysis based on full-scale DemoSATH prototype monitoring data and, finally, DemoSATH floating wind turbine towing, mooring and subsea cable hook-Up: challenges and lessons learned.
